Sharon School Garden (Great Group Activity!)
254 Woodland Avenue, Sharon, TN

Last year we expanded the Sharon School garden. This year we start Phase 2 through a collaboration with Innov8Africa with an international agriculture exchange project between schools in Narok County, Kenya and Weakley County Schools, TN.

We need volunteers to help us build the elements to build and cultivate Kenyan based growing systems at the Sharon School Garden. The garden is located behind Sharon School.

Volunteer Needs: (make sure to bring gloves and drinking water)
1) Community Volunteer Work begin at 1pm on Friday afternoons. Check in first at the Sharon School front office before going around back to the garden.
2) We will start by preparing the soil for planting in the existing raised beds, prepare the area for a hoophouse to be installed, install the hoop house, and build two wedding cake tiered gardens. Many hands make light work.

Martin Farmers Market (Great Group Activity!)

The Martin Farmers Market is managed by the LFN Team through the City of Martin. We need volunteer support from May 24th – October 11, 2025 on the following days and times:

Wednesdays – 12-4pm

Saturdays – 8am – 12 noon

We are seeking volunteers to support a Kids POP activity every SATURDAY, May 24th – October 11th.
