Stockyard Market  – A Market Centered in Community

Recently celebrating their first year of business, Stockyard Market is a farm-to-table market owned by Clay and Holland Brewer in downtown Trenton, TN. The vision of the market is to provide Gibson County and surrounding communities with products raised and produced by local farms that are owned by people you know and trust. Products sold include beef, pork, lamb, eggs, dairy, specialty breads and sauces, salad greens, honey, and other locally grown/produced goods.

Clay and Holland also own Trenton Regional Stockyard in Trenton, open every Wednesday at 1PM. Clay currently has a cow/calf operation and backgrounds around 300 calves continuously.  Clay wants to make Trenton Regional Stockyard a strong market where buyers can purchase high quality cattle and sellers can receive top dollar for their cattle.

When you are visiting the barn, you will find Clay either working in the back or buying in the ring.  You will find Holland, his wife, working in the office and at the Stockyard Market in downtown Trenton.  Both Clay and Holland want to make Trenton Regional Stockyard and the Stockyard Market as successful as possible for their young son Cade.  “We plan to carry on the American way of agriculture through essential values, such as an honest word and a firm handshake.” – Clay Brewer

Clay and Holland wanted to use their expertise in raising cattle and saw the need for a healthier choice in the meals our communities consume. Offering beef in small quantities allows families to afford quality beef rather than buying in bulk. However, they do offer bulk pricing to local schools. Both Milan and Trenton Special School Districts in Gibson County, TN have been serving Stockyard Beef products on their lunch lines, including burger patties and soon, beef hotdogs. #FarmtoSchool

Their goal is to not take away from farmers who sell whole beef but to highlight the quality of home raised beef. They also want to highlight the many local businesses within our area and state, and are constantly looking to support small businesses to incorporate in the Stockyard Market.
